The Times Square EDITION
IN THE MIDDLE OF IT ALLOn our flight back to Asia, we had a layover in New York – We landed at the Times Square EDITION in the evening and were met at the entrance by Johnny and Allen, our acting-concierges-in-chief. They were like a personal GPS for finding great food or guiding you to the theater. Allen escorted us to our room, giving us the grand tour of all the awesome stuff they'd thought of. Our room was remarkable.
As you walk in, and there's this little entryway with two doors. One to the right had a single king bed and a full bath – perfect for our two kids. The door straight ahead led to the main suite, which was like stepping into high rise apartment with a beautiful living area, an open bathroom, and a king-size bed. But the real showstopper? A jaw-dropping balcony that showcased an epic view of Times Square. Seriously, wow! If you want to be smack in the middle of the city that never sleeps, this is the place to stay, especially this room.
We relaxed in our room for a bit and got ready to venture out to see Aladdin and grab a slice of iconic New York style Pizza. A quick walk to the theater from the hotel was fun as we took in the humanity on the streets of New York. After the show we returned back to our room to enjoy the night.
The incredible Alice Kwong gave us a time that the GM would be available to sign and stamp our EDITION passports the next morning. We were ready to keep the EDITION passport party going! Alex, the GM, was the real deal. His passion for the brand was crystal clear as we chatted about our journey and love for the EDITION. Then came the surprise of surprises: our very own honorary EDITION Advocator cards and the elusive Black card. Every EDITION employee not only carries this black card at all times but also commits it to memory within their first month. Thanks, Alex and Alice – we promise to commit the ideals to memory into our heads soon! Chop chop!
With our stamp, date, and sign ceremony complete, we whisked the kids off to FAO Schwartz and the Nintendo store for a quick fix of fun before bidding Times Square adieu and heading to the airport.

We booked a suite and enjoyed seeing the unique details of this EDITION as compared with other properties. Most notably the dark wood accents and the gold fixtures (in most other properties the wood is light and fixtures black. Views faced the hockey stadium and the iconic staircase, pool table and jungle of plants filled the grand lobby.

Alice- You are the MVP. Thanks for helping to arrange everything and even going above and beyond to help me ship some documents last minute and following up with me to make sure it arrived. Your attention to detail is truly amazing.
