The first official stop on our EDITION passport world tour, the exotic Tampa, FL . To be honest we would have never visited Tampa if it hadn’t been for the Tampa EDITION. In chatting with our uber drivers we learned Tampa has really exploded during the pandemic and is home to a vibrant downtown all centered around the property and the massive Tampa Bay Lightening Hockey Stadium. The EDITION passport idea was born on our flight to the USA from China so we need to find a way to print our new design so we could have the staff at the Tampa Edition sign it. Upon arrival Michael greeted us at the door and waited for us to check in and showed us all the amazing things about our room. We finalized some details and the staff was able to get us in last minute to the Michelin starred restaurant the Lilac Room located in the lobby. We had an amazing dinner with awesome service by our waitress Trinity and then decided we needed to go get this passport printed. We googled print shops and called an uber. 30 min later in the middle of suburbia Tampa we waited while the print staff tried to make our vision a reality. It was late at night so their normal layout staff wasn’t working so we compromised and just had them print out the passport as individual cards while planning to print the full “real” passport when we returned home to China. After 3 hours we returned to the EDITION with something to stamp and pulled up to a line around the block of people dressed to party. We in our sweats and leggings fit right in (ha). We flashed our room key cards and the bouncer let us in and we feeling old and jet lagged went back to our room to relax and enjoy the restful night.

The next morning we had to check out a bit early to make it to our flight to Miami so we met Jeremy the director of rooms to share our story and have him sign the first “official” EDTION passport. Jeremy and the rest of the staff at reception as amazing and were so excited to help us kick off our EDITION challenge.
